These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WordEffect online store and your purchase of products from WordEffect Media, LLC (“WordEffect,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing this store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.


Online store

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform we use to offer products for sale. You agree to use the store only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.


Products

WordEffect offers physical products designed to encourage kindness, thoughtful communication, healthier relationships, and positive culture. Many products are produced on demand through third-party fulfillment providers.

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, sizes, colors, and images accurately. Colors and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device, screen settings, printing, or production process. Product availability and designs may change without notice.


Orders

By placing an order, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, billing, and shipping information.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions

  • Incorrect pricing or product information

  • Product availability issues

  • Shipping restrictions

  • Violations of these Terms

If an order is canceled after payment has been processed, an appropriate refund will be issued.

To request a cancellation or change, contact info@wordeffect.com as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations once production has begun. Please review our Return and refund policy for details.


Prices and payment

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices, promotions, and product availability may change without notice. Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be displayed at checkout when required.

Payments are processed securely through Shopify and approved third-party payment providers.


Shipping and fulfillment

Products may be produced and shipped by third-party fulfillment providers. Production and delivery times vary by product, destination, fulfillment location, and shipping method. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Returns and refunds

Because many WordEffect products are made to order, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse, incorrect size selection, or incorrect color selection.

Damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrect items, and qualifying lost orders, may be eligible for replacement or refund as described in our Return and refund policy. Please contact us before returning an item.


Intellectual property

All WordEffect content and materials, including product designs, text, graphics, logos, photographs, illustrations, slogans, educational messaging, and other creative content, are owned by or licensed to WordEffect Media, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, or commercially use WordEffect content without prior written permission. Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property contained in the product design.

 

Acceptable use

You may not use this website:

  • For unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • To interfere with the security or operation of the store

  • To transmit harmful or malicious software

  • To infringe the rights of WordEffect or others

  • To misrepresent your identity or payment information

  • To copy, scrape, reproduce, or commercially exploit store content without permission

 

Third-party services

Our store may use third-party services for ecommerce hosting, payment processing, product fulfillment, shipping, analytics, marketing, or other business functions. These providers operate independently and may maintain their own policies and terms.

WordEffect is not responsible for the independent practices or services of third parties except as required by applicable law.

Your use of the store is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, shared, and protected.

 

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the store and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the store will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

 

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WordEffect Media, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the store or purchase of our products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
